Some tools just exist, the CTF3 is built to adapt to the future. When it comes to night vision shooting, “good enough” gear often translates into “good enough” results and that’s not the world we live in at CTF Photonics. The CTF3 wasn’t built to join the crowded IR laser market. It was built to rewrite what shooters expect from a compact illumination systems. A unit built with the user in mind, every button, every cut, every function is there for a reason. No wasted space.
Let’s crack it open (figuratively — please don’t void your warranty) and look at what sets the CTF3 apart.
Most IR lasers sit offset from your bore, this is quite common actually. This means you are always compensating for offset in the distance. The CTF3’s laser sits dead center over your bore. This design allows for the laser to remain perfectly aligned with your optics sightline, making zeroing faster and shot placement more intuitive. You point, you press, and the round lands where it should. In an age where “good enough” is common, this is absolute alignment.
Durability starts with the body, machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, the CTF3 can shrug off impacts, abuse, and weather without losing zero. There’s a quiet confidence to a tool you know won’t quit before you do. This isnt metal or plastic, its the same quality material trusted in hard use firearm components.
Every screw and fastener is stainless steel, resisting corrosion and holding tight under recoil. The CTF3 features upgraded T25 stainless steel hardware for strip free mounting. A T25 tool is included with all our units to ensure easy installation.
The CTF3 is NOT locked into one configuration. The CTF3 supports 300 series 3V heads, and pairs flawlessly with both the B.E. Meyers KIJI IR illuminator and the Malkoff E1HTv2 white light. Currently this is the bundle configuration with our CTF3 unit. It’s a plug and play mindset for people who can’t afford to waste time fiddling. The result of the CTF3 Mission configurability is you can tailor your beam set up according to your mission, swapping heads in seconds. Want a set up for long range shooting? Great throw on a focus beam. Want a good CQB set up? Try adding a good flood head to assist in your mission. It only takes seconds to remove and apply a new head that adapts to your environment and situation.
At just the right height, footprint, and one of the lowest on the market.. the CTF3 tucks neatly into your rail space without snagging or blocking your optic in CQB or on a sling during long movements. The profile makes a difference you can feel. This is the kind of low profile that stays out of your way when you’re dragging your rifle through a doorway or moving prone. Compact, unintrusive, and deliberate. The low profile feature allows for any flip up sights to be used seamlessly. In addition the footprint is nearly non existent when looking through your optics even without a riser.
The CTF3 is every choice. From beam spectrum, beam profile, and mission configurability, its about stripping away failure points for your situation until there’s nothing left to compromise.
